Ernest Hemingway: There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed.
Templeton: But how, master, how?
Hemingway: Do not worry. You have always written before and you will write now. All you have to do is write one true sentence. Write the truest sentence that you know.
Templeton: But today this typewriter mocks me! One sentence you say? Alright...
Much like the garbage disposal, my words are clogged.

Brilliant. Hemingway gives us great encouragement...That one true sentence!
interesting how a blank page in a typewriter draws so easily to the topic of (gasp) writer's block...
This made me laugh - thank you:-)
Could be on to a winner. Who knows?
Some writer's block. This is wonderful. : )
Good old Ernest! I love the idea of Earnest and Templeton (the Rat) conferring. K.
Hi, mine too...for ages now! Let's hope we find some verbal Drain-o. Cheers!
I read it like the Kung Fu series -- good stuff, Grasshopper! Betcha you could write on rice paper.
Templeton was one of my favorite characters in that book, and pairing him with Hemingway--brilliant and quirky and whimsical, all at the same time. Bravo!
Oh, this is truly wonderful!!
a point well made.
ha, it happens to the best of us...smiles.
The blank page can be overwhelming sometimes.....love your take on the photo Templeton! :-)
I have been out touring for a forehead tap of inspiration, I now have a compass bearing. Great piece!
Brought a smile to my face. Inspired by your work, by the way.

Hemingway gives good advice. I'm like the garbage disposal at the moment :)
Hilarious last line. But, yes, writing is like bleeding!
